On March 16, 2026, the 20th Annual Conference of the China Textile Roundtable was held in Beijing. This conference was hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation and supported by Beijing Fashion Holdings Co., Ltd. The theme of the conference was "Striving for the '15th Five-Year Plan', initiating a new journey for the construction of modern textile industry." The conference took a macro perspective, discussing the development situation faced by the textile industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, deeply analyzing the impacts of hot factors such as international economic and trade environment, application of artificial intelligence, and boosting domestic consumption and demand, and contributing wisdom to making plans for the beginning of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system, guiding the direction.

Gu Weida, the Party Secretary and Chairman of Beijing Fashion Holdings Co., Ltd., in his speech, affirmed that the China Textile Roundtable has, over the years, gathered industry wisdom and reached consensus on development, playing a crucial role in "opening up the way and connecting the bridge" to promote the deepening of high-quality development in the textile industry. The "14th Five-Year Plan" period is an important stage for the textile industry to make multi-faceted efforts and steadily advance the construction of a modern industrial system. Beijing Fashion Holdings Co., Ltd. will resonate with the industry at the same frequency, focusing on technological innovation and the layout of the industrial chain, with emphasis on inheriting intangible cultural heritage and building a fashion platform, and deeply focusing on its core business, making due contributions to helping the textile industry transform and upgrade and deeply engaging in the construction of the capital's fashion culture. 

Yang Zhaohua, the vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, delivered a keynote speech titled "Anchor on the New Position of the '15th Five-Year Plan', and Strive for the New Journey of Modernization". The speech pointed out that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, especially since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the textile industry has accelerated the high-quality development of technology, fashion, and green industries, consolidated the advantages of the industrial system, enhanced independent innovation-driven capabilities, improved the value creation level, optimized and improved the industrial ecosystem, and laid a solid foundation for the complete establishment of a modern textile industry. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the external situation is still undergoing complex changes, and the textile industry is facing severe challenges. However, under the new circumstances, the position of the industry as a pillar industry of the national economy will continue to be consolidated, the strong domestic market, the empowerment of new quality productive forces, regional and resource coordination, and other development foundations are good, and strategic opportunities still exist.
